Hand Sanitizer For Kids Recalled Over Packaging That Resembles Food, Drink Containers

A whopping five million consumers are being asked to return or return unused boxes of Gekkan Manebani’s Hand Sanitizer, which contain packaging that resembles child-resistant food and drink containers.

“The doughnuts, cookies, soft drinks and whatnot were designed to resemble child-resistant food and drink containers and may have easily been mistaken for adult-resistant food containers,” said Garth Collins, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Gekkan Manebani.

The Safe Kids America recall comes following a pattern for the company, which issued at least 8 recent recalls, most of which were involving the product’s packaging.

The latest is a 3.65 million contact lens drops that are labeled to be a cleaning solution and cannot be opened without special equipment. Other products that have been issued for recall are: A million sets of hair straighteners, pink sanitizer scoops and antibacterial hand sanitizer scoops.

Users of the Gekkan Manebani product are advised to return the product for a full refund.
